Oklahoma employees who suffer a work related injury or illness are entitled to receive workers' compensation benefits. Workers' compensation is a type of insurance benefit designed to provide wage benefits and medical benefits to injured workers.
Medical Benefits
Visit our medical benefits page to learn more about the different types of financial benefits available to injured workers. As an injured worker, you are entitled to receive medical benefits for all reasonable and necessary care.
Wage Benefits
Workers' compensation provides wage benefits to help injured workers who are unable to return to work temporarily or permanently. Benefits are also available to workers who are only able to return to work part-time or at a job that provides decreased wages.
Temporary Total Disability (TTD)
While you are recovering and are under active medical treatment, you will receive 70% of your average weekly wage, subject to a minimum and maximum ceiling. TTD is paid only if you are off work for more than 3 days. When you are released to return to work or you have reached maximum medical recovery, the TTD checks will stop.
Permanent Partial Disability (PPD)
If you are left with permanent problems, you will be compensated for a percentage of disability to the part of the body injured.
Vocational Rehabilitation
You are entitled to job retraining if you are unable to return to your normal occupation.
